| Feature freeze for LOVD 1.1.0 |

| We've decided to put an feature freeze on LOVD 1.1.0. Basically, this means no new features will be implemented, and new releases are restricted to bug-fix releases only. LOVD v.2.0 is underway and will include lots of improvements over the 1.1.0 branch. Also, LOVD 1.1.0-13 will be released soon in September, fixing some minor issues (#3, #4). |

Today, LOVD 1.1.0 build 12 has been released. This is a bug-fix release only. Some problems with custom links, the update checker and the public area search functionality have been fixed.

Today, LOVD 1.1.0 build 11 has been released. Only a few bugs have been fixed, of which one was introduced in build 10 and caused problems when creating new gene databases.

Today, LOVD 1.1.0 build 10 has been released. Some work has been done on making LOVD ready for v.2.0, and problems with the MySQL 5.x database have been resolved.

Today, LOVD 1.1.0 build 09 has been released. A couple of bugs have been fixed, amongs others a miscalculated nucleotide number in the generated reference sequences. Furthermore, LOVD comes with a full manual, also available from the website.

| LOVD 2.0 planned updates |

| While still working on the 1.1.0 build 09 release, we've started making plans for the new LOVD v.2.0. LOVD will be completely rewritten and lots of new features are planned. Amongst others, the LOVD sequence variant table structure will be completely dynamic. The expected 1.1.0-09 release has been postponed until later this month. |
| LOVD 1.1.0 build 08 released |

Today, LOVD 1.1.0 build 08 has been released. Lots and lots of bugs have been fixed. In some cases emails originating from LOVD were blocked by SPAM filters because the emails lacked a sender address. A manager is now able to set a sender emailaddress for your LOVD installation, which should prevent LOVD emails from being blocked. Also, a feature has been added to check for new updates of LOVD and provides the possibility to download the update directly. This new feature is only available for managers.
The next build of LOVD is expected before October and will be targeted at improving the overall documentation. Expect a full manual and an extended quick reference guide.

Today, LOVD 1.1.0 build 07 has been released. A critical bug, which rendered build 06 uninstallable and may render existing build 06 installations unusable, has been resolved. We strongly recommend you upgrade to build 07. The next build of LOVD is not expected before September.

Today, LOVD 1.1.0 build 06 has been released. Some important bugs have been fixed and the Reference Sequence parser has been updated. Both LOVD and the supplied Reference Sequence parser are ready for the new notation for coding DNA nucleotides after the stop codon.

Today, LOVD 1.1.0 build 05 has been released. This is mostly a release targeted at improving usability. Some code was cleaned up a bit, a readme for developers was added, a lot of notices were removed and options were added for duplicating variant entries.

| LOVD 1.1.0 build 04 released |
2005-02-08 |
Today, LOVD 1.1.0 build 04 has been released. Some bugs were fixed, a new feature was added and LOVD was prepared for the LocusLink to "Entrez Gene" change. The most important change was a new feature which allows a manager or DB manager to remove a gene database, if desired.

| LOVD 1.1.0 build 03 released |

Today, LOVD 1.1.0 build 03 has been released. There were some major changes this build. Most interestingly, the system can now be configured to not use cookies for authentication. Although this is much less secure, for some (without sufficient control over their browser settings) it has been a problem to log in to LOVD.
Also, a number of (severe) bugs have been taken care of.

Today, LOVD 1.1.0 build 02 has been released. This is mainly a bugfix release. The release of build 01 yesterday was in a great rush and now some known bugs have been taken care of.
This may be the last release of this year, since my time will be taken up by a new internal project.

Today, LOVD 1.1.0 build 01 has been released. This is the first GPL release of LOVD! Many enhancements have been made compared to 1.0.2 build 09. Most importantly, many textfiles used for gene-specific and system-wide settings have been replaced by online forms. This truly makes customizing your LOVD install much easier.
